Sugar Cookies [Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook] (1/2 recipe)
1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
0.5 whole egg
2 teaspoons milk
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg, beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. Bake @ 375 for 6 - 8 minutes.
